Chocolate of any form, even white chocolate, is harmful to cats. Dark chocolate is the most harmful.   • Caffeine

Caffeine in big amounts can be hazardous to our feline companions. Caffeine intoxication does not have an antidote. Caffeine intoxication causes restlessness, fast breathing, and irregular heartbeat in cats. Caffeine can be found in cocoa, chocolate, colas, and other foods. Cats are normally uninterested in the smell of caffeine.

  • Products derived from milk

Lactose tolerance is common in cats. Because most cats lack the enzyme that breaks down lactose. This enzyme is lost from the body of a young kitten as they grow older. When an adult cat consumes milk, the lactose can be digested, causing gastrointestinal distress.

  • Foods that are still raw

Raw beef, raw fish, and raw eggs are examples of raw foods. This could be harmful to your feline companions at times. Bacteria could be present in raw food. In addition, it can cause nausea, diarrhea, and a severe illness known as pancreatitis. Before feeding raw food to cats, seek guidance from a veterinarian.

  • Raisins And Grapes

Even if you shared them with them, most cats would refuse to eat them. Grapes and raisins might cause abrupt renal failure in your feline pet. As a result, it is not advisable to feed these fruits to your cat; instead, you might share other fruits such as bananas, apples, and mango.

  • Garlic & Onion

Both raw and cooked onions and garlic are poisonous to cats. They have the ability to break down the red blood cells of cats. Onion poisoning can occur if your kitty buddy consumes onions and garlic on a daily basis. It’s best if you keep them away from your cat.

  • Xylitol

Xylitol is extremely hazardous to your pet, according to the ASPCA. It can induce liver failure in cats and, in the worst-case scenario, death.

 

These foods are not suitable for your feline companion. As a result, you must never share your food with your feline companions.
